Ibn Sirin: To find a sealed cheque in a dream, or to see someone giving you a sealed cheque, signifies that you will receive a good share of the blessings of this world; to see someone writing you a cheque, promissory note, or receipt signifies that you will cause filthy blood—accumulated beneath the skin, not circulating in the vein, remaining inert, harmful to the body, and damaging the organ concerned at the place where it has accumulated—to be expelled from the body.

Jabir al-Maghribi: To seal a cheque in a dream, or to see that you possess a sealed cheque, signifies that your property will leave your possession; to see that your cheque has been lost or burned signifies that your property will leave your possession and that you will suffer loss and damage.

Contemporary Scholars: To see a cheque in a dream signifies that someone will give you a promise concerning some matter, but that you will not know whether the person making the promise is true to his word.

To write a cheque in a dream signifies that you will promise someone things that you will be unable or unwilling to fulfil.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.

In the interpretation, the themes of work and responsibility, financial matters, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
