Scribe

It denotes a deceitful and crafty person. To be a scribe or secretary in a dream announces that, with the assistance of someone, one will attain abundance and success.

Seeing a scribe in a dream is interpreted as deception. If a knowledgeable person sees himself in his dream as an ignorant man, it indicates that he is deceitful and weak in religious faith; if an ignorant person sees himself as a learned scribe, it indicates that he understands a stratagem devised by his enemies against him and takes precautions against it.

Seeing in a dream that one’s handwriting is exceedingly ugly indicates repenting for a sin one has committed; seeing, despite being ignorant, that one’s handwriting is exceedingly beautiful indicates that one’s worship is accepted in the sight of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). Seeing oneself serving as a scribe to a great statesman indicates attaining a great benefaction; seeing oneself rewarded by that great person indicates that one’s earnings in the work in which one is engaged will increase.

Seeing the angels Kiraman Katibin in a dream, if the dreamer is a religious person, is interpreted as attaining ease in all the affairs he undertakes in this world and as being given glad tidings of Paradise. According to Ibn Sirin, a scribe is interpreted as a deceitful man.

Whoever sees in his dream that he is a public scribe takes the property of the people from them by deceit, contrary to religion. Seeing that one is a scribe to the government or to a great person indicates that one expects benefit from others.

According to another narration: Seeing a scribe in a dream is a sign of a deceitful person. If a person who is a scribe sees himself ignorant in a dream, that person’s deceit, intelligence, or religion will depart from him, or he will become poor. If an ignorant person sees in a dream that he is a scribe, he succeeds in being prudent or in overcoming the stratagem of someone who wishes to deceive him. If a person who is a scribe sees in a dream that his handwriting is ugly, he repents. If a person who has ceased deceiving the people sees himself as a scribe, it indicates that he will soon be accused on account of an act performed by someone, that he will consequently fall into hardship, and that he will derive no benefit from it. This dream signifies death for the sick. Sometimes, seeing a scribe indicates a farmer.

Seeing scribes in a dream, or assuming their form and attributes, indicates that one’s power and renown will be exalted and that one’s condition will be good. Seeing secretaries indicates incoming news, increase and decrease, insistence, and becoming acquainted with and informed of hidden secrets. Seeing a petition writer on the road indicates a police officer and a bloodletter.

Seeing the angels Kiraman Katibin in a dream, if the dreamer is a God-fearing person, indicates glad tidings, ease in his worldly and otherworldly affairs, and that he is among the people of Paradise. If the dreamer is not God-fearing, let him beware of all evils.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.
