Demolishing

To see in a dream that a house has collapsed signifies that the person in question will die; to see an old house collapse is interpreted as distress and sorrow. If a woman sees in her dream that the ceiling of the house has collapsed, this is interpreted as the death of her husband. In general, it signifies great loss. If a person sees himself demolishing his house in a dream, he will separate from his spouse. But if the thing he demolishes is something devoid of good, then it means that he will attain relief.

To see oneself demolishing a minaret in a dream is not good. Whoever sees himself demolishing the Kaaba in his dream will commit an act contrary to Islam. Whoever sees himself demolishing a mosque or a masjid will seek to cause sedition and evil in Islam. Whoever sees himself demolishing a mansion or palace will cause harm to the state.

Whoever sees himself demolishing a church, monastery, or similar building in a dream will become a helper of the religion of Islam and one who causes harm to the unbelievers. Whoever sees himself demolishing an old house, room, or shop will suffer grief and sorrow. To see oneself demolishing one’s house completely or in part indicates that someone in that house will die, or that the master of the house will suffer a great calamity.

To see castles and their towers being demolished in a dream signifies hardship in livelihood; demolishing bridges and arches signifies the occurrence of an evil that will harm the opinion of society, and according to one narration, it is an indication of corruption in religion.

According to Jābir al-Maghribī, seeing in a dream a demolition that is not by a person’s own will and not by his own hand is generally interpreted as the acquisition of wealth and benefit.

According to ʿAbd al-Ghanī al-Nābulusī, demolishing in a dream is not good. Whoever sees his house demolished in his dream will die or suffer a calamity of comparable magnitude. To see a house demolished is an indication of the death of its master.

Whoever sees himself demolishing a house or an old structure in a dream will fall into grief and distress. If a woman sees the ceiling of her house collapse, her husband will die.

According to another narration: To demolish and lay waste to any place in a dream is an indication of the death of the head of the household.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.
