Demolishing / Being Demolished

Sayyid Sulayman: To demolish a sound minaret in a dream is not good. Whoever sees himself demolishing the Ka‘bah introduces an innovation into Islam.

Whoever demolishes a mosque or masjid strives to harm Islam.

Whoever demolishes a church, monastery, or the like becomes harsh against the unbelievers. He remains steadfast in the religion of Islam. He causes harm to the unbelievers.

Whoever demolishes an old house, room, or shop is afflicted with sorrow.

Whoever sees that his entire house, or part of it, has collapsed will either encounter a great calamity, one of the members of his household will die, or an evil event will occur there.

Demolishing castles and towers signifies deficiency in religion, difficulty in livelihood, and distress.

Demolishing arches and bridges signifies the occurrence of an evil decree that will harm the people’s opinion, or corruption in religion.

Jabir al-Maghribi says: Whoever sees in his dream a ruin for which he was not responsible will obtain property and benefit.

Abd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi says: To demolish something in a dream, or to see it demolished, is not good.

Whoever sees that his house has collapsed will die or suffer a very great calamity.

To see a house collapsing is interpreted as the death of the owner of that house.

The collapse of part of the house also indicates the death of someone from that household, or that the owner of the house will suffer a great calamity.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.

In the interpretation, the themes of home and environment, work and responsibility, success and reputation, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
