Doubt

To see in a dream that one has fallen into doubt concerning matters of religion and faith signifies sedition and deceit, persisting in ignorance that will make one hypocritical, or harbouring an evil opinion of one’s chaste spouse. (One who sees such a dream should seek knowledge concerning the matter troubling his mind from a righteous and learned person, in order to dispel his doubt.)

To see in a dream that one suspects someone for any reason signifies deceivers. Whoever doubts the Word of Allah (the Exalted) has committed unbelief and remains undecided between truth and falsehood.

According to another narration: To doubt in a dream the matters declared by religion or the Word of Allah is a sign of hypocrisy and deceit. At times, the صاحب of this dream is among the hypocrites who remain far from the mercy of the Most High, or he harbours an evil opinion concerning his chaste wife.

Ibn Sirin: To see in a dream that one is in doubt signifies whisperings and weakness in faith. To see that one has been delivered from doubt is an indication of certainty and guidance.

Ibn Sirin: To be in doubt in a dream is an indication of committing sin.

Ibn Sirin: To see uncertainty in a dream is an indication of heedlessness and the deception of Satan. To feel uncertainty and doubt concerning all religions in a dream is an indication of oath-taking and ingratitude. If a person occupied with religious matters sees in a dream that he does not know which belief he belongs to or in which direction he should turn, this indicates doubt and a deficiency of knowledge and certainty. If a seeker or student upon the path sees in a dream that he searches in vain for a place in which to perform the prayer, this indicates that his path will be obstructed or that his learning will be hindered. For a merchant, uncertainty in a dream indicates obstacles that hinder his efforts to obtain substantial profits from his trade.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.

In interpreting Surah Al-Ahqaf (The Wind-Curved Sandhills), the emotional tone in the dream and how the symbol ends should be evaluated together.
