If the added ear is beautiful, then the thing he desires is also auspicious. To see that one has many ears in a dream signifies the various branches of knowledge, or that the person seeing the dream does not remain fixed in one condition. Sometimes seeing an ear signifies things worn upon the ear, such as an earring and the like. Whoever sees his ear as being like the ear of one of the animals will lose his rank, and the respect accorded to him will diminish.

Whoever sees that his ear has been cut off, and that no one knows of it, will have a deception perpetrated against his wife and daughter by someone. If he sees that it has returned to its former state, he will repent, and they will return to their good condition. Whoever sees that he has one ear will soon die.

Some interpreters have said: If a person sees that he has beautiful ears resembling one another, he will hear glad, pleasing, and beautiful news. If his ears do not resemble one another and are not beautiful, he will hear news that he regards as bad and dislikes.

Ibn Sirin: To see an ear in a dream signifies receiving news, knowledge, and intelligence. To see one’s ear grow larger signifies guidance and hearing the word of truth; to see one’s ear cut off signifies the interruption of news.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.
