Hanut

Hanut: A substance used in the embalming of the dead.

Ibn Sirin: To see in a dream that hanut is sprinkled upon you signifies that you will seek forgiveness and turn unto Allah; if you are a righteous person, it signifies that you will remain secure from fear and that the things you desire will come to pass.

Kirmani: To see fragrant hanut in a dream signifies receiving the praise of people, but it also means that you will pass through a danger.

Sayyid Süleyman: Kirmani said: Whoever sees in his dream that hanut is scattered upon him will repent. He will attain relief. If the dreamer is religious, it signifies that he will be delivered from distress and fear. He will attain safety in both worlds.

Abu Sa‘id al-Waiz says: Whoever sees that he has hanut with him or gathers it will benefit all Muslims. This dream is an omen of every kind of good.

Whoever asks a person for assistance in obtaining hanut in a dream will benefit from that person’s good word and testimony. Whoever sees that he has been embalmed will repent. His distress will be removed. He will acquire a good reputation.

According to one narration: To see in a dream that one has hanut with him or gathers it is an indication of abundant good. Whoever sees that he distributes hanut among the people will undertake an affair by which he will benefit them.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.

In the interpretation, the themes of work and responsibility, success and reputation, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
