In a dream, entering the state of ihram for the pilgrimage signifies marriage for the unmarried, and divorce from his wife for the married. If the dreamer is ill, he will die or depart from the place where he is.

If he sees that, while being in the state of ihram, he hunts game, this signifies that, while awake, he must make payment for the animal he has hunted.

Whoever sees in a dream that, while being in the state of ihram, he kills a bird, it signifies that, while awake, he must offer a camel as expiation; and whoever sees that he kills a wild ass must offer cattle as expiation.

If a man sees in a dream that he enters the state of ihram together with his wife, he will divorce his wife, and she will become unlawful to him.
