According to Ibn Sirin, seeing Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) in a dream with a smiling face signifies joy, attaining blessings, finding peace, deliverance from distress, recovery for the sick, and knowledge and learning.
Seeing Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) in a particular place in the manner described above is interpreted as goodness and blessing for the people of that place.
Seeing Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) displeased and angry is interpreted as sorrow and grief, illness, affliction, and falling into sin.
Seeing that one speaks with Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), or that the dreamer gives him something, signifies being granted success in good and righteous deeds and keeping one’s word.
According to Ibn Sirin’s interpretation, seeing Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) in a dream signifies a beautiful countenance, longevity, virtue, speaking the truth, goodness, righteousness, and turning away from false things.
Seeing Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) give one something that is lawful for him signifies blessings and prosperity, appointment to a government office, attaining rank, health, and safety.
Seeing Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) speak with oneself is interpreted to mean that the person will be just. Whoever sees Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) looking at him angrily and shouting words at him during the conversation will be exposed to sorrow and grief; if he is an official, he will be dismissed from his post; if he is poor, he will become even poorer; and if he is wealthy, his wealth will leave him and he will become poor.
Seeing Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) in a dream signifies that the person is pious, well-mannered, and inclined toward good deeds and acts of charity. Seeing Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) lying down in a dream is interpreted to mean that the dreamer will be killed by a tyrant.
The dream of one who sees Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) showing him favor signifies that the person will be happy in this world and will be among the martyrs in the Hereafter; seeing him angry and estranged signifies that he will be subjected to the oppression of a tyrant.
Seeing Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) in a dream is interpreted as high rank, courage, and strength of heart. Seeing Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) with a smiling face is evidence of attaining knowledge, courage, strength, and deliverance.
According to another interpretation, it is feared for the person who sees Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) in a dream that he will be taken captive and transported face-down from one place to another.
If a person sees Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) in a dream as an old man bearing arms, it is interpreted to mean that he will draw near to the ruler or gain benefit from him, and will attain a great rank.
If a person sees in a dream that the hair and beard of Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) have turned white, then, if the dreamer is a jurist, that person’s knowledge of jurisprudence will weaken.
If a person sees Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) in a place, dissension will arise in that place. Seeing the four caliphs in a dream is interpreted to mean that the person will die as a martyr.
Seeing Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), the daughter of the Prophet (peace be upon him), in a dream signifies the disappearance of that person’s wife, mother, and father, and his remaining in a state of hesitation.
