Fragrant Things (Perfumery)

To see in a dream any fragrant thing whose scent is spreading signifies that, if the dreamer is a learned man, his wealth will increase; and if he is poor, his condition and means will improve, and everyone will benefit from him. Whoever sees that he has a fragrant thing with him will attain goodness and benefit.

Whoever sees in a dream that he has applied a fragrance will receive everyone’s praise. Whoever sees that he is selling lavender to the people makes beautiful promises and then retracts his promise.

To see a woman who smells pleasant is interpreted in five ways:

Everlasting life,

A beautiful wife,

Goodness,

Benefit,

Joy.

Fragrance, whatever its kind, is interpreted as wealth and benefit.

To see in a dream that there is much lavender beside a woman signifies that she is a devout and well-mannered person; and to see that one has taken some of that fragrance signifies benefiting from that woman’s religion.

According to Ja‘far al-Sadiq: To see any lavender that smells pleasant in a dream, whether liquid or thick, is interpreted in nine ways: praising beauty, a gathering of knowledge, a devout man, a noble woman, a promise, the true and upright religion, glad tidings, money, and beauty.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.
