Greenery / Meadow

Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq: There are four interpretations of seeing greenery in a dream: 1—Islam, 2—religion, 3—steadfastness in matters of faith, 4—piety.

Ibn Sirin: Greenery is interpreted as religious faith. The more abundant and pure the greenery, the better your piety will be. Withered and yellowing meadows, however, signify the opposite.

Seeing greenery indicates health and well-being.

Seeing greenery in its season is interpreted as your religious faith.

Seeing abundant greenery on land belonging to you signifies chastity and modesty.

Eating tasteless or bitter greens signifies the opposite of the preceding interpretation.

Eating greens of good taste signifies abundance and lawful sustenance.

To see oneself settling in the midst of a green tract of land indicates that one will remain steadfast in one’s religious faith.

To see a deceased person among greenery/in a meadow in a dream indicates that the deceased person’s condition in the Hereafter is good, or that your affairs will be set in order and you will attain reward in the Hereafter.

Seeing a meadow belonging to another indicates that you will befriend pious and religious persons.

Jabir al-Maghribi: Eating greenery in its season signifies asceticism and piety.

Contemporary scholars: Seeing a verdant pasture/meadow indicates happiness.

Seeing a dried-up pasture/meadow indicates that you will become lazy in certain matters and that your patience will diminish.

To lie down in a meadow in a dream indicates that something which has received little attention and has gone unmentioned will suddenly gain value.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.

In the interpretation, the themes of emotional life, work and responsibility, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
