Striking / Being Struck

According to the Interpretations of Tiflisi, there are 6 interpretations of striking in a dream, according to Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq (A.S.):

1-Intercession

2-Struggle

3-The resolution of an affair deemed insoluble

4-Travel

5-Greatness

6-Unlawful property.

Kirmani: To see in a dream that you are struck with a stick indicates that you will suffer hardship and become impoverished because of an unbelieving person.

To see in a dream that you are shot with a weapon indicates that you will obtain a benefit. To see that you are shot in the back with a weapon indicates that you will hear advice from someone.

To see in a dream that you are struck with a fist signifies that you will suffer hardship from the person who struck you, in proportion to the severity of the blow you received.

To see in a dream that you are shot with a pistol indicates that you will hear an ugly word from someone and that your esteem will diminish.

Jabir Maghribi: To see someone striking you for a definite purpose indicates that you will obtain income and wear new garments.

To see in a dream a familiar person striking you with a stick or whip indicates that you will suffer harm from that person.

Isma‘il al-Ash‘ath: To see a dead person striking you indicates that you will gain benefit from a journey or regain things you have lost.

To see in a dream that, although you are dead, the people around you are striking you indicates that you will gain strength in the path of religion, or, according to some interpreters, that your debt will be paid.

To see in a dream that you strike a dead person and that he is content with this indicates that the deceased person’s state in the Hereafter is good.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.

In the interpretation, the themes of success and reputation, work and responsibility, health and body, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
