Killing

To kill someone in a dream signifies committing a sin, or being delivered from fear and sorrow, or abandoning the prayer. To see oneself killed in a dream denotes repenting with the resolve not to return to the sin, and attaining goodness.

To see someone being killed in a dream signifies a long life, various blessings, and wealth; if he knows the killer, it signifies gaining victory over his enemy.

To slaughter someone in a dream signifies oppressing that person; to kill someone without slaughtering him signifies goodness and wealth for the deceased.

To see oneself confessing that one has killed someone signifies rank and office; to kill one’s child signifies attaining sustenance; to see oneself killed in battle denotes martyrdom or worldly possessions.

To see that one has killed someone in a dream announces that one will become his friend.

To see one person killing another in a dream signifies that the killer will bring goodness and benefit to the slain, or will oppress him; to see oneself killing someone signifies doing him a kindness; to see oneself slain denotes that one’s life will be long.

According to Kirmani: Whoever sees that he has killed someone will bring goodness and benefit to that person. Whoever sees a group killing him unjustly will receive goodness and benefit from the greatest of the rulers. Whoever sees that he has unjustly killed someone will become rebellious and an oppressor of his own soul, and Allah will set someone over him.

According to Jaber al-Maghribi: Whoever sees that he has killed his child, Allah (Exalted is He) will bestow upon him lawful sustenance. According to one narration, the dreamer oppresses his child for the sake of wealth and worldly honor. Whoever sees that he has killed someone and that blood flows from the slain person’s body will come into possession of wealth. If no blood flows, wealth will not be obtained.

To see the corpse torn apart and the man rolling about in blood in a dream signifies benefiting from that man’s wealth; to see oneself kill someone and white blood issue from the slain person signifies the loss of one’s religion.

To see oneself dead in a dream signifies doing things contrary to the law; if one knows the killer, it signifies gaining victory over the enemy; to see oneself kill someone and filth flow from the slain person’s blood signifies that the slain person will suffer evil at the hands of the killer.

Whoever sees that he has killed someone but does not know who that person is will triumph over his enemy and be delivered from grief. Whoever sees that he has slain his own soul will be granted success in repentance. Whoever sees himself killed by having his neck struck off, if he is a slave, will be emancipated; he will be delivered from grief and sorrow; if he is in debt, he will pay his debt; and much wealth will come into his hands.

If in a dream you know the person who killed you, you will receive much goodness and help from that person. If the killer is a woman, it denotes the death of the dreamer.

According to Ibn Sirin: If a woman sees in a dream that she has killed her husband, she will accuse him of a sin with which he has no connection. Whoever sees that he has killed and cooked a small child will be censured for committing the act of sodomy.

To see a child killed and cooked, and his flesh torn away, signifies that his father will be subjected to oppression. (To see a group killing one another in a dream signifies the emergence of innovation among the people; to see oneself kill a person and carry his corpse behind him signifies that one will deserve punishment and suffer harm.

According to some: To see a killer in a dream signifies attaining one’s wish for a person who desires to go on pilgrimage; if the dreamer is ill, it signifies healing. According to one opinion, the dream of a killer denotes affliction and the departure of blessings.

According to Abd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi: To see a killer in a dream signifies committing a sin. Whoever sees that he has slain his own soul will repent of his sins. Whoever sees that he has killed a human being commits a grave sin. Whoever sees himself slain will live long and attain abundant goodness.

To see oneself kill someone and become a killer in a dream signifies that one will be spoken of by those around him with evil attributes. Whoever sees himself killed in the path of Allah will become a martyr.

To see a ruler killing his subjects by striking off their necks signifies that the people will be delivered from the oppression of the populace, attain freedom, and receive kindness and favor from the government.

To see oneself kill a man by cutting his throat signifies that the slain person will attain goodness and benefit. Whoever sees that he has slain a soul will be delivered from sorrow and grief. If a slave sees his master killing him, he will be emancipated.

According to another narration: To kill someone in a dream signifies committing a sin. Whoever sees that he has killed himself in a dream will repent with “sincere repentance.” Whoever sees that he has killed a human being commits a grave sin.

If someone sees in a dream that he has been killed, it signifies that his life will be long and that he will attain much goodness and wealth from various tribes. If someone sees in a dream that he has killed another without cutting him, goodness and wealth will befall the one who was killed. Slaughtering in a dream is oppression.

Whoever sees that he has killed someone in a dream will, in accordance with the meaning of the verse, “And you had killed a man, but We saved you from the distress and tried you with a trial” (Surah Ta-Ha, verse 40), be delivered from fear and sorrow.

Whoever sees that he has killed himself in a dream will attain goodness. If someone sees that he has killed another without knowing the one who killed him, he neglects his religion. If he knows his killer, he will triumph over his enemy and take revenge upon his killer.

If someone sees in a dream that he has killed a man and that blood flows from his jugular vein, it signifies that the slain person will fall into something, through the tongue of the killer, that he dislikes. Some interpreters have also said that goodness and benefit will come to the slain person from the killer.

If someone sees in a dream that he has deliberately and unjustly killed another person, it signifies that he is a sinner. Some interpreters have also said that whoever sees himself kill someone denies the virtue of the prayer or abandons it.

Whoever sees that he has killed his own child in a dream will attain sustenance. If someone sees in a dream that he has killed two hundred people, his debt will be paid and his sorrow and grief will be removed. Whoever sees himself killed in battle, if he desires to give testimony, his testimony will be accepted. At times, that person will attain many worldly possessions and manifest blessings. (To kill a human being or an animal in a dream signifies that you have delayed in correcting the mistakes you have made. .

With the right perspective, it can signify restoring balance, recovery, and developing a new understanding.

Uncertainty, indecision, or a tendency to take on excessive burden may be observed.
