To see in a dream that a woman is menstruating, that is, experiencing hayd, signifies that she will commit a sinful act. For a man to see that he is menstruating signifies that he will tell lies and that he is deficient in fasting and prayer.

To see in a dream that a woman is menstruating and then performs the ritual bath signifies her repentance and deliverance from sorrow and grief.

A man who sees in a dream that his wife is menstruating is signified that his desires and wishes will not be fulfilled for a while, and that his affairs will continue in a state of stagnation for some time; yet they will return to normal, just as the menstruation of that same woman comes to an end.

For a woman whose menstruation has ceased, that is, a woman who has entered menopause, to see that she is menstruating signifies that something she will greatly desire will come to pass.

For a pregnant woman to see in a dream that she is menstruating denotes that she will bear a son.

According to Abu Sa‘id al-Wa‘iz: If a woman sees that she is menstruating, and if she is barren, she will have a child. According to some narrations: To see in a dream that one is menstruating and, on account of it, to see blood signifies that the stress and burden of work that have befallen one will pass after great weariness.

According to al-Salimi: For an old woman to see herself in the period of menstruation signifies that her appointed time is approaching; and for a young girl to see that she is menstruating, that is, having her period, signifies that she will marry.

According to another narration: Whoever sees in a dream that he is menstruating desires a woman of his unmarriageable kin. If a woman sees that there is blood upon her which is not menstrual blood, she commits a crime and transgression that has become habitual to her and from which she wishes to be free, though deliverance from it is not easy.

If a woman sees in a dream that, while she is menstruating, her husband has intercourse with her, their intimacy with one another will increase.

According to one narration: For a man to see in a dream that he is menstruating, that is, having his period, signifies that he will have intercourse with a woman who is unlawful for him.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.
