Affliction and Distress

To see in a dream that you are suffering affliction and distress is an indication that you are involved in an event which greatly troubles you, and that this will have adverse effects upon your psychological and even your physical health.

If in your dream you saw who it was that caused you affliction and distress, it means that this person will also trouble you for a while in waking life; before such a situation befalls you, you should speak with that person or forestall the thing you anticipate that he will do.

To see in a dream that you have caused a person to suffer torment, and to realize that you in fact had no intention of doing such a thing, is interpreted to mean that you will grieve someone without being aware of it. But if that person is a beloved, a spouse, a friend, or anyone whom you intend to hurt, then it is an indication that you are seeking ways to cause that person pain.

If in your dream you hear the ache of the distress you suffer within your heart and feel yourself helpless, it would be beneficial for you to seek assistance from someone whose wisdom and goodness you truly trust; the person from whom you will receive this help may also be an elder of your family whom you trust to think objectively.

The interpretation of seeing in a dream that you try to help someone suffering affliction and distress but are unable to do anything is that you will not be able to remedy the trouble of a person you love.

Positive Meaning

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Shadow Meaning

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.

Advice

In the interpretation, the themes of success and reputation, work and responsibility, health and body, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
