The Pool of Kawthar

If a person sees in his dream that the Resurrection has broken forth and that people have gathered around the Pool of Kawthar and are drinking from it, this indicates that a just government will come to power among the people.

Sayyid Sulayman: To see, on the Day of Resurrection, the people gathering at the Pool of Kawthar and asking for the wine of Kawthar indicates that a just state will come to power. Whoever drinks the wine of Kawthar from the pool will depart from this life as a Muslim.

To see in a dream that the people are asking for water at this pool but are unable to obtain it indicates their deprivation of justice. Whoever sees that he asks for the wine of Kawthar but is not given it signifies an unbelieving person, one distant from religion, and an enemy of the Companions of the Noble Prophet.

Whoever sees in a dream that he is drinking at the edge of the Pool of Kawthar from a bowl upon which his name is written will become a friend of a great scholar and derive benefit from him in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever sees that, despite drinking the wine of Kawthar repeatedly, the water of the pool is turbid and bitter will become a hypocrite and an unbeliever.

Whoever sees and drinks the wine of Kawthar as it is described in the Noble Hadith, this indicates that he will be among the religious elders who drink the wine of Kawthar in the Hereafter.

Ja‘far al-Sadiq interprets the Pool of Kawthar as the following: a person beneficial to the people, a wealthy man, the gathering of wealth, and a scholar beneficial to the people. Whoever repairs the Pool of Kawthar performs a good deed. To see it destroyed is the opposite of this.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.

In the interpretation, the themes of success and reputation, home and environment, spiritual signs, work and responsibility should be considered together with the emotional tone in the dream and how the symbol concluded in the dream.
