To see in a dream the first man and the first prophet, His Excellency Adam, in his own form signifies knowledge and virtue.

To see in a dream that one is a companion of His Excellency Adam is an indication of attaining lofty ranks. If the person who sees this dream is a learned man, all people will benefit from his knowledge.

Whoever sees His Excellency Adam in his dream will suffer loss by being deceived by the words of his enemies.

To see the color of His Excellency Adam’s complexion faded in a dream is interpreted as migrating from one place to another. Again, seeing His Excellency Adam signifies thick garments and weeping, and a journey to a distant place.

To see Adam in a very excellent state in a dream is an indication of great goodness and abundant blessings.

To see Adam (peace be upon him) in a dream is an indication of a peaceful life, far from grief and anxiety, receiving glad tidings, bringing a child into the world, and abundant sustenance. At times, it also signifies that the dreamer will receive his sustenance through a male child rather than through a daughter. If the one who sees the dream suffers pain in his eyes, it signifies deliverance from it and recovery of health.

Ibn Sirin: To see Adam (peace be upon him), the father of mankind, in a dream represents sin and repentance. It also expresses one’s father or the ruler of the land. To see him in a noble bearing is an indication of attainment and honor. If Adam (peace be upon him) addresses a person in a dream, it signifies that person’s acquiring knowledge. If someone sees himself as Adam or as one of his companions, and is worthy of this, it indicates that he will attain that rank. Adam also represents the transient life of this world. To see him in a dream likewise signifies understanding, for he was the first to dream upon the earth and to interpret the names of things. It also signifies reunion with one’s family, anxiety, forgetfulness, and troubles.

With the right perspective, it can signify restoring balance, recovery, and developing a new understanding.

Uncertainty, indecision, or a tendency to take on excessive burden may be observed.

In the interpretation, the themes of work and responsibility, success and reputation, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
