Saz / Reed Bed

To see the saz, the musical instrument, in a dream signifies base persons and lowly pleasures. To see a gathering of saz players signifies a company from whom no good is to be expected; to see a folk minstrel with his saz in his hand denotes a strange person of refined feelings who lives on scant means.

To see oneself in a sazlık (reed bed) in a dream signifies being in the company of a coarse and unprofitable people; to see many saz (reeds) in one’s hand signifies worldly gain to be obtained with little effort.

To see a saz in a dream sometimes signifies tale-bearing; to see an object made of saz (reed), or to buy such things, signifies property and benefit; a reed basket signifies a servant; dry and cut reeds (saz) denote a strange and sorrowful person who has departed from his homeland.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.

In the interpretation, the themes of work and responsibility, success and reputation, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
