Public Fountain

Seeing a public fountain in a dream is interpreted in four ways: a person who assists the people, a wealthy man, amassed property, or a person whose knowledge benefits everyone. According to Kirmani, whoever serves as an instrument in having a public fountain built performs acts of charity and goodness.

Whoever sees that he has demolished a public fountain or damaged one of its sides engages in evil and corruption. Whoever sees that he is whitewashing a public fountain becomes renowned among the people for charitable works. Seeing that a public fountain has become wider indicates that a scholar’s knowledge will increase and that his wealth and assistance to the people will be greater.

According to Abdulgani Nabulsi: Seeing a public fountain built so that travellers and passers-by may quench their thirst is interpreted as almsgiving, charity, goodness, and generosity. Whoever sees that he has built a public fountain establishes a charitable endowment that will benefit the people.

Whoever sees in a dream that he drinks water from a public fountain benefits from a person who considers the welfare of everyone and accordingly establishes charitable works. Seeing a public fountain newly built in a very fine manner indicates that there are spiritual grace and blessing in that place; seeing it ruined and dilapidated, or seeing that there is no water, indicates that there are no charity, blessing, or goodness in that place.

Whoever sees in a dream that he is serving at a public fountain and distributing water to those who come and go, it is a sign that he assists the people in their worldly and hereafter affairs. Seeing muddy water distributed to the people at a public fountain indicates that unlawful property is being distributed with the intention of doing charity.

Seeing oneself distribute clear and clean water indicates that lawful property is being distributed.

According to another narration: The public fountain seen in a dream signifies a beneficial person, a wealthy man, amassed property, or a person whose knowledge the people profit from.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.

In the interpretation, the themes of work and responsibility, success and reputation, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
