Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq: Seeing public works in a dream is interpreted in four ways: 1—Goodness in worldly affairs; 2—Good and benefit; 3—Attainment of one’s wish; 4—It is a sign that closed affairs shall be opened.

Ibn Sirin: Building up places such as mosques, madrasas, dervish lodges, and the like is a sign of the welfare of religion, sound reason, and the reward of the Hereafter. Improving private places such as a greenhouse, shop, and the like signifies worldly good; seeing a flourishing place become ruined indicates that calamity and affliction shall befall the community dwelling in that region.

Jabir al-Maghribi: Dwelling in a prosperous place indicates that you shall obtain goodness in proportion to the prosperity witnessed. Seeing the opposite is interpreted as evil, corruption, and harm.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.

In the interpretation, the themes of home and environment, success and reputation, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
