The Bridge of Sirat

To see the Bridge of Sirat in a dream signifies all of a person’s good and evil deeds; to see oneself walking safely upon the Sirat signifies steadfastness in religion, adherence to the Sunna, and being upright, as well as a sea journey, accomplishing a great and beneficial undertaking, and attaining safety from that which one fears. To see oneself falling from the Sirat signifies persisting in sin and turning away from the truth.

To walk upon the Bridge of Sirat in a dream signifies going on a seaside holiday. If one slips or falls while walking upon the Bridge of Sirat, he will suffer harm and destruction. At times, it also signifies that the one walking upon it will pursue knowledge, affirm Divine Unity, and follow the noble Sunna.

Sirat means a road. Therefore, whoever sees that his foot slips while walking on the road will err on the path of truth. Whoever sees in a dream that he is upon the Bridge of Sirat will be upright in his religion.

Whoever sees that he is walking upon the Bridge of Sirat and that his foot does not slip will undertake a great matter and obtain a good outcome from it. He will become secure from that which he fears. Whoever sees that he has entered upon the Bridge of Sirat and that his foot slips will commit a sin and depart from the truth. If one who is going on pilgrimage sees that he has crossed the Bridge of Sirat, he will return safely from the pilgrimage.

Ibn Sirin: To see the Bridge of Sirat in a dream signifies knowledge, truth, the straight path, and the weighing of deeds. To cross the bridge with ease signifies salvation, while the slipping of one’s foot signifies sin and misguidance. This bridge is a difficult passage that a person will cross according to his deeds.

With the right perspective, it can signify restoring balance, recovery, and developing a new understanding.

Uncertainty, indecision, or a tendency to take on excessive burden may be observed.

In the interpretation, the themes of success and reputation, work and responsibility, health and body, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
