Sowing or Reaping Crops

Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq: There are five interpretations of seeing crops and a field:

1—Lawful sustenance

2—Gain

3—Illness

4—Honour and rank

5—Livelihood.

Daniel (A.S.): To see in a dream that you are sowing and reaping crops in their season signifies obtaining gain. To see that you are reaping the crops while they are still green is interpreted as illness.

To see in a dream that you have sown the field in its season and gathered its produce signifies that you will discharge a divine debt owed by you and perform righteous deeds.

Ibn Sirin: To see crops and a field in a dream signifies relying upon Allah and obtaining earnings through lawful means; to see oneself sowing seed in one’s own field signifies that the work you undertake will be good; and to see the crops sprouting signifies that one’s sustenance will increase.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.

In the interpretation, the themes of work and responsibility, health and body, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
