Dream Dictionary / S / Rising and Sitting
Rising and Sitting
According to what Ibn Sirin and certain other interpreters have said, whoever sees in a dream that he rises to his feet in order to perform a virtuous deed will have embarked upon an undertaking from which a result and benefit shall ensue.
To see oneself rise to one’s feet in order to commit an evil signifies embarking upon an undertaking that shall ultimately entail harm and remorse. According to Ibn Sirin, who said, “I like to sit upon something elevated in a dream, for I have experienced this many times and found good in it”; to see oneself sitting in a high place signifies a lofty rank and felicity in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever sees that he is sitting upon the earth shall remain steadfast in his work.
