Tambura

Sayyid Sulayman: To see a tambura or an ‘ashiq in a dream is interpreted as false and vain speech, esteem, rank, amusement, or a concubine.

Whoever sees in a dream that one of the great ones has given him a tambura or a saz, if he is qualified, shall attain a lofty rank. Even if he is not suitable for such a charge, he shall be delivered from distress. According to some, whoever plays the tambura or saz shall suffer great sorrow.

Kirmani said: Whoever sees in his dream that he is playing the tambura or saz shall consort with a woman of worth and, through her lawful property, attain esteem and rank.

Interpretations of Tiflisi; Ibn Sirin: To see that you are playing the tambura in a dream indicates that, if you are ill, your appointed time is drawing near; and if you are healthy, you shall hear news of a calamity.

To see in a dream that you have broken the tambura indicates that you shall repent (because of your sins).

Kirmani: To see in a dream that you have given a tambura to someone indicates that your sorrow shall pass to him.
