Teeth

Sayyid Sulayman: Teeth seen in a dream are interpreted as the members of one’s family and relatives. The upper teeth represent men, the lower teeth women, and the molars the head of the household.

According to some interpreters, the molar situated beside the pointed tooth in the upper row represents, on its right side, the father and the male child who shall take his place. The one on the left points to the paternal uncle and the second male child. The other molars situated beside them are, respectively, the other elders of the family. Taking this arrangement into consideration for those in the lower row, they are interpreted as the mother, daughter, maternal aunt, and paternal aunt. The front teeth also signify the other relatives.

According to some interpreters, seeing a tooth in a dream signifies the ages of the dreamer or of his relatives. Seeing an additional tooth grow beside any tooth in a dream is an indication of obtaining good and benefit from the relative represented by that tooth.

Using the miswak in a dream signifies succeeding in removing disputes among relatives. Seeing sparse and open spaces between the teeth signifies the emergence of a blameworthy condition among the members of one’s family and relatives.

Seeing one’s teeth spaced apart in a dream signifies being acceptable and loved among the people; according to one account, it indicates hearing praise concerning one’s household.

Seeing the teeth in a defective and loose condition in a dream signifies weakness and weariness. Cleaning the teeth and having beautiful teeth signifies deliverance from sorrow, possessing awe and dignity, and acting generously.

The teeth seen in a dream being long and white signify an increase in rank, esteem, and strength.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.

In the interpretation, the themes of work and responsibility, emotional life, success and reputation, the emotional tone in the dream and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
