Threshold

To see a threshold in a dream signifies the lady of the house and the work and profession by which one earns one’s livelihood; sitting upon the lower threshold signifies marriage for a bachelor. The disappearance of the threshold, or its being removed and cast away, signifies illness or the death of the wife.

To see a threshold in a dream is a sign that one will sit for an examination. Thus, to see oneself stepping over the threshold and entering inside signifies that one will pass the examination successfully.

According to another narration: The lower threshold seen in a dream is the dreamer’s wife for men. If he is able to pass over the threshold, he will get along well with his wife and enjoy peace. If a person sees that the lower threshold of his door has been removed from its place, his authority and standing will depart. Whoever sees that the upper threshold of his door has been broken will divorce his wife. If he sees that the upper threshold of his door has disappeared from his sight, his wife will die.

Whoever sees himself seated upon the lower threshold of his door in a dream will marry a woman. Whoever sees himself making a threshold will establish a beautiful household.

To see guests at the threshold in a dream, if he invites them in across the threshold, is a portent of virtuous people who will enter his life; but if they remain outside the threshold, it is a portent of new acquaintances who will bring harm upon him.

To see an animal entering inside through the threshold in a dream means that, if it is an animal you find lovable, there will be an increase in the blessings of your household. If it is an unpleasant and frightening animal, it is interpreted as a decrease in your possessions.

Buying a new threshold or sitting upon it indicates that the wife or husband may suffer bodily harm. To see oneself sitting beneath the threshold of one’s door signifies a calamity or illness. To see oneself being carried away from the threshold of one’s door signifies one’s funeral.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.
