Trembling

To see trembling in a dream is not good. Whoever sees that his head is trembling and that he has been afflicted with this illness will suffer harm from a great person of the state. Whoever sees his neck trembling will be weak in keeping trusts and in his word. Whoever sees trembling in his shoulders will be deprived of dignity and seriousness.

To see that one’s hands are trembling in a dream indicates that one will fall into difficulty in his livelihood and hardship concerning sustenance. Whoever sees his chest trembling will hear a word that he detests and does not desire, and will be grieved.

Whoever sees his inner self trembling in a dream will become anxious out of concern for the future of his children. Whoever sees his back trembling will suffer harm because of his relatives; and to see the whole body trembling from head to foot indicates weariness on account of being unable to attain one’s aim and desire.

According to Ja‘far al-Sadiq, trembling in a dream is interpreted in five ways: a change of condition, weakness, fear and anxiety, sorrow, and harm. To see oneself trembling from cold is not a favorable dream. According to one report, it indicates the occurrence of an affair from which a person would recoil. Whoever sees himself cold and trembling will fall into poverty and severe distress.

To see someone trembling from cold in a dream is a sign that this person has fallen into poverty and is stretching out his hand to others. To see an entire community all trembling together indicates that everyone will fall into difficulty because of want and narrow circumstances.

According to another report: If a person sees his head trembling in a dream, he will attain honor from his leader, or his leader will become angry with him. If a person sees his right hand trembling, his livelihood will become difficult. If he sees his buttocks trembling, some good will reach him from his tribe and relatives. Whoever sees his calves trembling will be honored in proportion to his wealth. The interpretation is likewise for all the trembling limbs.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.

In the interpretation, the themes of success and reputation, work and responsibility, health and body, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
