Reciting the Sermon

Whoever sees in a dream that he is delivering the sermon upon the pulpit, his rank and worth shall increase. To see a great statesman, a scholar, or a man of business delivering the sermon and completing it signifies that he shall remain in his office; but if he cannot complete his sermon, it signifies that the thing he desires shall not be brought to completion and that he shall leave his occupation. To see oneself uttering in the sermon a word contrary to the Sharia signifies that he shall become renowned for his wickedness; and to see oneself dismissed from preaching and another appointed in his place signifies that an important event shall occur in that place and at that time.

To see in a dream that one has ascended the pulpit in order to deliver the sermon signifies that his worth and honour shall increase; falling from the pulpit while delivering the sermon signifies that he shall be dismissed from his occupation; and delivering the sermon with a loud and beautiful voice signifies that his fame shall increase.

To deliver the sermon while being armed signifies that the ruler of that place shall be a person esteemed among the nations; to see that one wishes to ascend the pulpit but is unable to do so signifies that he shall not attain a matter he wishes to come to pass; to deliver the sermon in a place where it is not fitting to do so signifies oppression and affliction; and reciting the sermon incorrectly is interpreted as lack of resolve and incompetence.

According to another narration: Whoever sees that he has delivered the sermon well, completed his words concerning the sermon, that the people look at him in silence, and that he has also completed his prayer according to the religious ordinances, shall become governor of a province, and the people therein shall show him respect and obey him. If he does not complete the sermon and the prayer, he shall depart before his office is completed.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.

In the interpretation, the themes of success and reputation, work and responsibility, health and body, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
