Reciting Ayat al-Kursi

Seeing supplication in a dream, just as in waking life, is interpreted as an indication that it will bring about good. Reciting Ayat al-Kursi in a dream, which is the most auspicious and effective of supplications, signifies that blessings and beauties will surround you, that you will encounter good people, and that good people will always stand by you in your difficult times.

The person who sees this dream will not suffer hardship in life; his wishes will be interpreted as auspicious, and everything he desires in the way of good will be deemed acceptable and will be received with acceptance by people. It is expected that the person who sees the dream will attain all his desires and wishes and lead a life focused upon success.

The person who sees the dream continues his existence in life as a believing and devout person. It signifies that, through his faith, his affairs will proceed favorably, that he will be saved from accidents and calamities, that he will always be happy in every sphere, and that inwardly he will always possess spiritual ease.

A person who prays for money in his dream is interpreted as facing an evil in the course of life; if you do not hasten to repent of the sins you have entered into through your way of living, it is interpreted that you will be unable to escape them.

Praying for love in a dream signifies that he will suffer no hardship throughout his life, that he will be a person of faith, that he will be able to attain everything in life through supplication, and that he will climb the steps of success by confronting difficulties.

Praying for health in a dream signifies that he has, or will have, certain problems in life; that the problems will not be exceedingly great and the person who sees the dream will be able to overcome them; that relations among people will grow stronger and give the person strength; and that he will obtain a happy future. It is a dream that heralds the person who sees it entering a period filled with great happiness and peace.

A person who prays for happiness in his dream—the fact that people pray according to their intentions is known to be an element of evaluation before Allah Almighty. If a person sees in his dream that he is praying generally and for happiness, it is interpreted as signifying that all his desires and wishes in life will be accepted, that his supplications will be accepted in every matter toward which he approaches with good intentions, and that his affairs will proceed favorably.

If the person reading a verse in his dream is poor: the verse is known as the foundation of all supplications and of the Qur’an, and this signifies that, by making use of the opportunities that will appear before him materially and spiritually, the person who sees the dream will become wealthy, attain peace, spend his wealth for the sake of good, and add gain to his earnings.

If the person reading a verse in his dream is wealthy: since his wishes in life have reached a materially sufficient level, it is related that he will continue to receive the degree of his wealth in the form of health and peace; that he will grow still wealthier through health and peace; and that, being protected against all dangers by an unseen wall, he will see no evil days.

If the person reading a verse in his dream is ill: it is related that he is passing through difficult times; that even if he is not ill, he will fall ill and add hardship to his hardships; that he will seek healing from different places by expending great effort; and that, finding healing through his faith, he will undergo a painful experience in life.

If the person reading a verse in his dream is laughing: it signifies auspicious works and the occurrence of auspicious events. It signifies that people will be happy in every way, that the person who sees the dream will spend a life filled with peace and centered upon happiness, and likewise that he will establish constancy in his opinions and become a person devoted to religion.

A person who says the takbir, “Allahu Akbar,” in his dream will be among the ranks of good people in this world and the Hereafter; it signifies that his intention is upright, that the person who sees the dream will spiritually benefit other persons present in the dream, and that, as he says “Allahu Akbar,” he will not deviate in life, but will find his path and be delivered from all distress.

A person who sees himself continually saying the takbir in his dream is interpreted as living, or as going to live, without meddling in anyone’s affairs; as attaining happiness by striving to conduct his own affairs in the most proper manner and succeeding in being sufficient unto himself; and as living without hardship in this world and the Hereafter, as a thoroughly upright person.

What it means to say the takbir in a gathering in a dream is interpreted as signifying that he has no hardship in his life; that, experiencing only minor difficulties in the course of his life and attaining a stable standard of living, he will live both as a believer and as a happy person; and that, living without passion for rank in this world or the Hereafter, he will merit the highest ranks.

Praying in a dream for a person who has lost his life, or praying for him in particular, signifies that the deceased expects supplication from you and that you must refresh his soul through prayer.

A person who recites Ayat al-Kursi in his dream for someone deceased is related to have seen that the dead person he beheld has attained ease in the Hereafter, that he remembers him through supplication, and that, either because the deceased asks for prayer or because you must declare his due lawful and thereby bring ease to his soul, you should grant him peace.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.
