To see in a dream that one goes on pilgrimage during its appointed season and performs this worship in accordance with its conditions signifies uprightness, security from fear, the repayment of debts, and the forgiveness of sins; setting out for the pilgrimage signifies regaining a lost occupation and position, the traveller’s safe return home, the sick person’s recovery, and the guidance of one who is astray.

To perform the Hajj and ‘Umrah in a dream signifies wealth for the poor, and accepted deeds and a long life for others; to perform the Hajj signifies accomplishing difficult and arduous matters with the help of Allah (C.C.).

To see in a dream that someone has gone on pilgrimage means that the person who sees this dream will be delivered from all his troubles.

To return from the pilgrimage in a dream signifies that one of the seer’s wishes will be fulfilled. He will attain the position of which he has dreamed.

For a deceased person to go on pilgrimage in a dream is not auspicious. The person who sees it will fall into disbelief in his religion. According to another narration: A deceased person’s going on pilgrimage in a dream signifies telling lies, tale-bearing, accusing someone of adultery, and giving false testimony.

To be on the road to the pilgrimage in a dream signifies that the person who sees such a dream will marry, or that he will have a child.

Ibn Sîrîn: To see a cross in a dream represents a high-ranking person worthy of respect or a pious person. Carrying a cross in a dream may signify marriage, an improper marriage, or having a male child. Seeing a cross in a dream may also signify having a male child through adultery, rape, or sin. Seeing a cross in a dream is also interpreted as death, opposites, opposition, war, quarrelling, distress, temptation, falsehood, false testimony, or slander.
