Medina the Radiant
Visiting Medina, where our master Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, resides, always signifies goodness and righteousness. To see oneself standing before one of the gates of the Prophet’s Mosque or before the door of the Chamber of Felicity and repenting signifies that one’s repentance will be accepted; to see lights issuing from his noble grave signifies that one will attain honor in one’s religion.
To see oneself in a dream between the grave of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the pulpit signifies that one will be among the people of Paradise. To see his noble grave in one’s own house is an indication of great goodness, such as attaining the intercession of our master the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
To see oneself sweeping the Noble Chamber in a dream signifies becoming happy in this world and the Hereafter; to see oneself washing it signifies that all one’s prayers have been accepted. To see oneself sitting with one’s back turned toward the Chamber of Felicity signifies having departed from the noble Sunnah, and being deprived thereof.
To see oneself clinging to the grille of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and weeping signifies attaining his intercession, becoming happy, relief, and joy. To go to Medina the Radiant in a dream signifies that one is proceeding toward guidance. To see the Prophet’s Sanctuary filled with light signifies beautiful and blessed sustenance.
To see and hear a sermon being delivered from the pulpit of the sanctuary signifies adhering to the testament of our master the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and following the noble Sunnah; to pray in the sanctuary signifies that one’s reward will increase and the gates of Paradise will be opened.
According to another narration: If a person sees Medina the Radiant in a dream and descends there, it signifies that goodness will come about for him in religion and in the world. If a person sees in a dream that he is standing at the gate of the Noble Sanctuary or at the door of the Chamber of Felicity in Medina the Radiant, it signifies that he will repent and be forgiven.
Some interpreters have said that seeing Medina in a dream consists of security, forgiveness, mercy, salvation, deliverance from sorrow, and a pleasant livelihood.
Islamic dream interpretation: To see or enter Medina, the luminous city of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is in keeping with the arising of much goodness and benevolence concerning both religion and the world. To see Medina signifies a pleasant livelihood, security and assurance, mercy and forgiveness, and deliverance from sorrow and other distressing conditions. For a person who has migrated from one place, Medina brings the attainment of goodness and blessing there. To see oneself in a dream at the gate of the Prophet’s Mosque or before the Chamber of Felicity signifies repentance.
