Mountains

Sayyid Sulayman and Daniel (peace be upon him) have said: Whoever thinks that the mountain upon which he is sitting belongs to him will seek help from a person of great worth. According to one account, he will come under the protection of a very powerful and just ruler.

Whoever sees in a dream that he has reached the summit of a mountain will become close to a head of state who possesses authority and esteem. His rank will therefore rise.

To see in a dream that a mountain has broken away from its place or has been shattered signifies the downfall of a great state and the dispersal of its community. If the dreamer has taken part in the events that will bring about this end, he will be the cause of the state’s downfall and the community’s fragmentation.

Whoever considers himself a person of rank on a mountain in a dream will serve in various capacities as the head of state’s close adviser. As for one who descends from the mountain, he will lose his position and fall from favour. According to one account, descending from high mountains in a dream signifies that you have abandoned the undertaking in which you had embarked.

According to Jabir al-Maghribi, whoever sees himself climbing a mountain or high places resembling a mountain will obtain all his desires and have his wish granted. He will achieve victory over his enemy. Descending from these places signifies defeat, need, and disappointment.

If the dreamer sees that he has descended from a mountain or from a place resembling a mountain, he will not attain his desire. Falling from a mountain in a dream signifies deficiency in religious and worldly life and indicates humiliation among the people.

The trembling and splitting of a mountain in a dream signifies weakness that will arise in that place. A trembling and split mountain returning to its former state is interpreted as recovery from illness and the state regaining its former strength.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.

In the interpretation, the themes of work and responsibility, home and environment, emotional life, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concluded in the dream should be evaluated together.
