Seeing a stake in a dream signifies a person occupying a rank in the administration, wealth and strength, sorrow and grief, or an affair in which there is a possibility of hypocrisy. A stake sometimes denotes falling in love, sorrow and grief, or wealth.

To see in a dream an old person driving a stake or a nail into one’s own back signifies that a very great scholar and leader will emerge from the progeny of the one into whose back the stake was driven. Driving a stake into a wall signifies loving a noble person, marriage for the unmarried, and the wife’s becoming pregnant for the married. Driving a stake into a house signifies loving a woman; driving a stake into a tree signifies loving a hypocritical person; and a stake emerging from the sexual organ denotes a child. It is interpreted as meaning that someone from whom you never expected it is gossiping about you.

Whoever sees himself driving a stake into a wall will marry through loving a noblewoman. Whoever sees himself driving a stake into a house will fall in love with a woman. Whoever sees himself driving a stake into a tree will marry a woman unworthy of him. If the stake is made of iron, it denotes property and money.

To see oneself seated upon a stake in a dream signifies that one will receive strength from a learned person and acquire knowledge. To see oneself driving a stake into the ground in a dream is evidence that, if unmarried, one will marry, and, if married, one will have a child.

According to another narration: If a person sees in a dream an old man driving a stake or a nail into his back, a scholar will emerge from that person’s progeny. If the stake is of wood and the one driving it into his back is a young man, he will have a hypocritical child who will become his enemy. If the stake breaks, that person will also die.

Whoever sees himself driving a stake into a wall in a dream will love a person of power and renown. Whoever sees himself driving a stake into a house will attach his heart to a woman. If the stake is of iron, it signifies wealth and strength. Since the stake is pointed and sharp, it also signifies pain, and, because of being driven in, sorrow, grief, and distress. Stakes are harms that will arise on account of some circumstance. A stake signifies rank and office, steadfastness in affairs, and being compelled in taking up a duty, being dismissed from a duty, or undertaking a journey.

Whoever sees himself upon a stake in a dream will receive strength from a scholar and a virtuous person. Some interpreters said that a stake is wealth. Other interpreters said that a stake signifies love, grief, sorrow, and distress. Whoever sees himself driving a stake into a wall or the ground in a dream will marry if he is unmarried. If he is married, his wife will become pregnant. Some of the interpreters also said that a stake is an affair into which hypocrisy enters.
