Stream and Valley

Whoever sees in a dream that he enters a valley abundant in trees and wood will befriend a kind-hearted and wealthy person, and will receive goodness and benefit from him. If the valley he enters is treeless and barren, the interpretation of this dream is the opposite of the foregoing dream.

Whoever sees in a dream that he has become lost in a valley and cannot be found will be afflicted with a minor illness.

According to Daniel (peace be upon him): Seeing a great valley in a dream is interpreted as a great dignitary of the state.

According to Kirmani: Seeing a valley in a dream is interpreted as going on pilgrimage.

According to Jaʿfar al-Sadiq: Seeing a valley or brook in a dream is interpreted in nine ways: pilgrimage, a great dignitary of the state, splendour, wealth, blessing, trade, leadership, victory, and knowledge.

According to ʿAbd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi: If the valley and brook seen in a dream are full of trees, meadows, and water, they are interpreted as goodness, abundance, benefit, power, and prosperity.

If the brook in a dream is dry and stony, with no trees or grass, its interpretation is the opposite of the foregoing. Whoever sees that he enters a brook full of trees, grass, and water will attain power and blessing. Whoever sits in such a valley and drinks from its water will live his life in comfort and abundant means of livelihood.

Whoever sees that he enters a brook whose banks are steep, rocky, barren, and dry will suffer difficulty in his livelihood. Whoever sees that he emerges from such a brook will be delivered from grief and distress.

Whoever sees in a dream that he has a brook in a cultivated and beautiful region, if he is worthy of great fortune and rank, will become a great dignitary of the state.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.

In the interpretation, the themes of success and reputation, work and responsibility, health and body, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
