Lying
To lie in a dream signifies corruption in religion and being deemed blameworthy by the people.
According to Abu Sa'id al-Wa'iz, to lie in a dream denotes deficiency of reason. In particular, whoever sees that he has lied concerning Allah (Glorious and Most High) will deceive the people and turn away from the path of Allah.
To see oneself lying to one’s own soul in a dream, saying, “I did what I did not do” and “I saw what I did not see,” signifies an evil end, the torment of the grave, and, in this world, the loss of one’s standing before the people.
According to Ibn Kathir, to see oneself lying concerning Allah (Glorious and Most High) and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is disbelief and a great calamity.
According to another narration: To lie in a dream signifies bearing false witness, slandering, and failing to attain salvation. At times, to lie in a dream signifies speaking nonsense; and if one sees an evil person hearing his words with the intention of disparaging someone’s lineage, a statement will be transmitted from that person, and this statement will spread.
If a person sees in a dream that he has lied concerning Allah (Glorious and Most High), it signifies that he is a foolish and witless person.
Positive Meaning
It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.
