Water Channel

To see a water channel in a dream signifies the places and means by which sustenance comes, such as an inn, a shop, a craft, and travel. At times, because it draws off water while irrigating gardens, it signifies wounds and boils. At times, it signifies irrigation and the road along which travellers go. It most often signifies the throat, for the throat is the water channel of the body.

To see a water canal in a dream signifies the life of the people. If it is for the general public, it signifies their life; or, if it is private, it signifies the life of the one who made it. A stream of water which a man blocks, without drowning there, is not, in interpretation, like the current of a river. Rather, it is a good life, particularly for the person who possesses it in the dream. If the water does not overflow from the place where it is meant to flow, it is good; but if it overflows from the place where it flows to the right and left sides, then it signifies grief and sorrow for the people of that place.

What does it signify to see a water canal in a dream? If it flows between houses and its water is sweet and pure, the interpretation is likewise a clean and wholesome life. Some interpreters said: If a person sees in a dream that he possesses running water, he will attain leadership and benefit.

If a person sees in a dream a canal filled with rubbish and sweepings, then washes it and cleanses what is in it, that person keeps himself clean by using cotton. If he sees water flowing from his foot, water will accumulate in that person’s body. If a person sees in a dream a canal carrying clean water from outside the city into it, and sees the people drinking from that water, praising Allah (the Exalted), and filling their vessels, then the people of that city will be delivered from the plague and pestilential diseases that have befallen them. Allah Most High will save their lives. If they are in hardship and distress, Allah Most High will grant them either continual rain, food, or cheapness, abundance, and plenty in their sustenance, together with prosperity in their living. If none of the things mentioned is present among them, Allah Most High will grant them abundant goods in their trade and will cause their unsold merchandise to find a market.

If the water of the aforementioned canal becomes turbid, turns salty, or overflows beyond the canal and harms the people, it signifies that an epidemic disease, such as a cold in the winter season or malaria in the summer season, will afflict the people; or that an ugly piece of news will come to them from those who are travelling or in foreign lands; or that it signifies unlawful wealth and vile property. But if he sees that the aforementioned canal flows only into his own house or shop, the interpretation of the dream pertains to the dreamer according to whether that water flows cleanly, purely, and moderately.

If a person sees in a dream that a canal flows into his garden or field, and he is unmarried, he will marry or acquire a female slave and have sexual intercourse with her. If he has a wife or a female slave, and his garden or field drinks the incoming water, or if the plants of the garden grow, that person will have sexual intercourse with his wife or female slave, and she will become pregnant. A blood channel seen inside the house signifies the life of the woman residing in that house. To see it leaving its channel and harming the people signifies evil and useless reports that will come upon the people from one direction and spread among them.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.
