Watery and Grassy Places

The watery, meadowed and grassy places seen in a dream, when unknown, signify religion and Islam. The interpretation of every greenery seen upon the earth is likewise. Some have said that if a person sees in a dream a watery, meadowed and grassy place, that person will suddenly fall ill.

Seeing a deceased person in a beautiful garden in a dream is a sign that he is in Paradise. Greenery and watery places signify the world and the adornment of the world, and a wife possessing abundant wealth and trousseau. An unknown meadow known only by its vegetation and greenery signifies Islam. At times, this dream signifies the noble grave of our Prophet, a circle of remembrance, gatherings of goodness, the graves of righteous people, and a virtuous place wherein Allah, the Exalted, is worshipped. At times, seeing watery and grassy places signifies the Noble Qur’an, a book of knowledge and wisdom, and at times Paradise.

If a person leaves a grassy and watery place in a dream and enters a dirty and dusty place, that man passes from the Sunnah to innovation, or from worship to disobedience. If a person sees that he is within a watery garden and eating of its fruits—if this dream occurs during the season of the Hajj—that person will perform the Hajj. If an unbeliever sees this dream, he will become a Muslim. If a sinful person sees it, he will repent and seek forgiveness. If he is none of these, the dreamer will perform a righteous deed, such as offering the Friday prayer or the funeral prayer.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.
