Wound

A wound seen on the body in a dream signifies property and worldly goods acquired through labor. A wound on the right hand signifies male relatives; a wound on the left hand, female relatives; a wound on the foot, planting and agriculture; and a wound on the heel signifies property to be obtained from one’s child. (To see a wound from which blood is flowing in a dream signifies the necessity of working for one’s sustenance and other needs. A wound in the abdomen signifies damage that will befall one’s property, a word that will trouble oneself, or property that will reach one from one’s child or grandchild. A wound seen on the head in a dream signifies a circumstance from which the owner of property must beware; a wound on the calf signifies long life; and a wound on the leg signifies an abundance of one’s people and relatives.

To see both feet wounded in a dream signifies remaining for one’s entire lifetime in the place and office in which one is situated. Wounds in the heart and chest signify falling in love for the young, and sorrow for the old. If an imam (leader), head of state, or person in a governing position sees that his head or any part of his body has been wounded or split open, this signifies longevity and leaving his friends behind. (To see in a dream that one has been wounded but that no blood is flowing signifies that one’s particular virtues and merits will come to light; to see that one has been wounded and that blood is issuing from the wound signifies that property will come into one’s hand and that the effect of this property will become apparent in oneself.

To wound someone in a dream with a knife, a piece of iron, or the like signifies seeking faults and ill intent; to wound someone out of fear signifies sorrow and grief, and, for the wounded person, a calamity.

To see in a dream that one has paid diyah (a price, compensation) because of wounding someone signifies making one’s enemy rejoice and causing his name to become famous, or, if one is in debt, paying that debt.

What does it mean to see a wound in a dream? In general, it is considered a sign of earning money and becoming wealthy. If a man sees in a dream that someone has wounded him, it means that his relatives will save him from becoming involved in wrongful deeds. If the dream is seen by a woman, it signifies that she has been deceived by her beloved or husband.

To see in a dream that you have been wounded or have cut some part of yourself signifies illness. An evil event will cause you distress. A wound on the body in a dream signifies money. But for flesh to be visible beneath the wound signifies, to the contrary, financial hardship.

To see in a dream that one has been wounded somewhere and does not know in what manner one was wounded: if there is blood upon the wound, it signifies that one’s close friends will protect one from doing something harmful; if this dream is seen by a woman, it signifies that her beloved or husband has betrayed her. If blood is flowing from the wound, it signifies that a friend will commit an act that will put one in a ridiculous position. According to some, whoever sees boils or wounds on his body in a dream will possess unlawful property in a quantity equal to the number of those boils or wounds. However, if these boils or wounds are large, they are interpreted as material and spiritual debts that one is obliged to pay.

According to another narration: To see a wound on some limb of one’s body is interpreted according to the limb on which the wound is seen. Thus, if the wound is on the chest or heart, it signifies love concerning the young among men and women, and sorrow and grief concerning the elderly. (If the wound in a dream is on the thumb of the right hand, it signifies a debt that will become incumbent upon the dreamer, and a protest that will be written against him, as well as distress.

Whoever sees in a dream that he has a wound and that it is flowing has a debt upon him. Every flowing wound is something for which the dreamer must work in order to provide his sustenance and fulfill his need.

A wound that a person sees on someone’s body or in someone’s blood in a dream, with blood issuing from it, signifies damage that will befall the dreamer’s property, or that a distressing word will be spoken about him; and because of the word spoken, a good deed will accrue to him. A wound on the finger of the right hand signifies a debt that will remain upon him.

To see in a dream that one has been wounded by someone is a sign of illness. One may also be hurt by a false friend.

To see a wound in a dream signifies theft and betrayal; to see oneself wounded signifies illness; and to see one side of oneself wounded signifies that one will suffer a wound of love and that one’s empty heart will be filled.

Ibn Sirin: To see a wound in a dream signifies compensation money arising from an injury that the person may suffer, and this will come to light. To see a cut on the right hand signifies money earned through family business. If the left hand is cut, this gain will come through female relatives. To see a bleeding cut on the left foot signifies that one will earn money from farming. If the injury is on the back, this gain will come from one’s children. If the wound begins to bleed, it signifies that the profit will emerge.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.
