Tiflisi’s Interpretations: Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him): There are three interpretations of seeing a wound in a dream: victory, goodness and benefit, and a decrease in wealth. There are three interpretations of being wounded: wealth, benefit, and unpleasant speech. Author: To see that someone has wounded your body, but that no blood has issued from it, indicates that the person who wounded you will speak a true word to you, and that you will be unable to answer him. To see in a dream that blood has issued from the wound you received indicates that you will tell a lie to the person who wounded you or utter painful words to him. To see many wounds upon your body in a dream indicates that there will be a deficiency in your wealth, or that you will repent of the sins you have committed. Ibn Sirin: To see that you have been wounded but that no blood has come forth indicates that you will prevail over the person who struck you and obtain benefit. To see blood issuing from your wound and staining your garments indicates that you will acquire unlawful wealth. Kirmani: To see that you have been wounded by a blow and that your body has been drenched in blood indicates that your wealth will diminish in proportion to the amount of blood flowing from the wound. Jabir al-Maghribi: To see that you have wounded someone indicates that you will encounter a difficult affair. To see blood issuing from the same wound means that someone will lie to you, and that the lie will subsequently be exposed. To see in a dream that the wound has swollen indicates that your livelihood will be good and your income will increase, but that you will live apart from your friends and relatives. Contemporary Scholars: To be wounded or to remove a wound indicates that you will encounter a problem arising from your heedlessness, but that you will later recover yourself and free yourself from this problem. To wound someone in a dream indicates that you will perceive beforehand the evil thoughts of certain people. To see many wounded people in a dream indicates that you will undertake a laborious, difficult, and futile task. To see that you have wounded someone in a dream indicates that you will cause him grief, sorrow, and distress. To see that you have paid blood money on account of wounding a man indicates the enemy’s rejoicing. To wound someone in a dream indicates that the dreamer’s rank will be exalted; at times, it also indicates that he will be accused of slander concerning his honor. To wound someone in a dream, if it is on account of fearing that person, indicates sorrow and grief for the one who wounds, while the wounded person will fall into calamity. If a person wounds another human being in a dream, a calamity will befall the wounded person from the one who wounded him, and this circumstance indicates the wounded person’s enmity.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.
