Enemy

Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq: Seeing an enemy has three interpretations:

1—That affairs will go badly

2—Sorrow and distress

3—Loss and damage to one’s property.

Ibn Sirin: To see in a dream that you are in constant struggle with your enemy and that your enemy has defeated you signifies a calamity that will befall you, and that you must repent and give alms in order to be delivered from this hardship.

Abu Sa‘id al-Wa‘iz said: To see in a dream that there is enmity between you and someone signifies that friendship and affection will arise between you and that person.

Nabulsi’s Dream Interpretations: To see an enemy in a dream indicates that the dreamer is obstinate and superior even to those who oppose him, and that, by the realization of Allah (Exalted is He), he will attain victory over those people.

If a person sees in a dream that someone is showing enmity toward him, it indicates that friendship will begin between them. If you see in a dream that your enemy frightens you with something evil, it signifies that you will become a person who possesses goodness.

To see your enemy promising you something good means that harm will come to you from your enemy.

To see yourself giving advice and admonition to your enemy means that you will do evil to him.

If a person sees in a dream that his enemy has entered a place, it is a sign that a flood will inundate that place. To see in a dream that you have taken your enemy hostage signifies that you will fall into very grievous sorrow.

If a person sees in a dream that he has been left hostage beside his enemy, then, in accordance with the indication of the verse meaning, “Every man is a pledge for what he has earned” (Surah al-Tur, verse 21), it indicates that that person will commit sins and that you will be taken captive on account of them.

To see in a dream the horses of the enemy running to and fro around a city is interpreted as rain that will fall upon that city, or as a flood and things of that kind.

To see in your dream that you have encountered a person who was formerly your enemy and that you have become friends with that person indicates that you must carry out a planned undertaking without telling anyone, that you must not disclose your secrets to anyone, and that you must act with even greater caution.

Ibn Sirin: To see an enemy in a dream sometimes signifies enmity toward one’s own lower self, and sometimes being vigilant against a real enemy. To overcome the enemy indicates victory and deliverance.

Ibn Sirin: To see a nokra fly in a dream indicates a hidden enemy.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.

In the interpretation, the themes of warning and risk, work and responsibility, emotional life, success and reputation, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
