Hanging / Hanging a Person

Daniel (peace be upon him): To see that a judge has ordered you to be hanged signifies that you will attain rank through a person of authority, but that your religious faith will grow weak. To see the people watching you while you are being hanged indicates that you will gain esteem in a measure equal to the number of those watching.

To see a group assembling in order to hang you signifies that you will rule over that community; to see an old stranger hang you while no one looks upon this scene indicates that you desire to lord it over your relatives, but that no one will obey you.

Jabir al-Maghribi: To see, while you are being hanged, that the rope of the gallows breaks and you fall to the ground signifies that you will lose the rank you possess.

With the right perspective, it can signify restoring balance, recovery, and developing a new understanding.
