Night and Day
What is meant by night and day is light and darkness.
According to Ibn Sirin: Seeing a dark night in a dream signifies grief and sorrow. Seeing a moonlit, bright, starry night in a dream signifies relief, joy, abundance, and prosperity.
Whoever sees himself walking on an unknown road in a dark night, supposing it to be a thoroughfare, is on the right path in the way of religion.
According to Jabir al-Maghribi: Seeing the night become bright, and the daytime and sun rising, is a sign of goodness and benefit, and that every wish shall be fulfilled. Seeing it night throughout the entire world, while he himself is in darkness, is a sign that the people of that place are in grief and distress.
Seeing one’s house in darkness in a dream is likewise a sign that one shall undertake a journey. Whoever sees the darkness in which he finds himself suddenly turn into light shall be delivered from grief, sorrow, and distress. If he is poor, he shall become wealthy.
According to Ja‘far al-Sadiq: Seeing darkness in a dream is interpreted in five ways: unbelief, bewilderment, difficulty, misery, and committing sin.
Seeing the world in daytime and filled with light in a dream signifies uprightness in one’s affairs, a long life, good works and righteousness, and attaining a lofty rank.
Whoever sees himself walking amid greenery on a cloudless, bright day in a dream, it is a sign that he shall be delivered from grief and sorrow and attain a life of abundance and relief.
