Performing the Hajj

To see in a dream that one has performed the Hajj, circumambulated the Mighty Ka‘bah, and fulfilled the rites of pilgrimage signifies beauty and rectitude in one’s religion, the reward one shall attain, security from fear, repayment of one’s debt, and trusts that one shall entrust to the Muslims. It also signifies reward, security from fear, repayment of one’s debt, and trusts that one shall entrust to the Muslims. If he is a merchant, he shall gain profit.

If the one performing the Hajj in a dream is a student, he shall attain his desire. If he is poor, he shall become wealthy and his need shall be fulfilled. If he is ill, he shall die. If he is a sinner, he shall repent. If he is married, he shall divorce his wife. Or he shall befriend someone from whom he will benefit in his religion or worldly affairs. Sometimes the Hajj signifies the marriage of an unmarried person. Whoever sees that he has gone to the Hajj on foot shall obtain sustenance and spoils.

Sometimes, seeing in a dream that one has gone to the Hajj—particularly when the seeker sees himself fulfilling the obligation of Hajj in the dream—signifies that he shall attain his aim.

Whoever sees in a dream that he has set out for the Hajj but did not reach it, if he is a merchant, he shall suffer loss; if he is a traveler, he shall be prevented from continuing his journey; and if he is an official, he shall be dismissed from his post. This dream denotes illness, grief, and hardship.

To see in a dream that one has returned from the Hajj signifies deliverance from illness and hardships. Whoever sees that he has gone to the Hajj on foot shall obtain sustenance and spoils.

Sometimes this dream signifies sustenance and spoils. Returning from the journey of Hajj signifies deliverance after affliction, health after illness, and returning to the state in which one previously was. If he sees that he has brought his provisions with him, it signifies piety. Sometimes bringing one’s provisions signifies wealth for the poor and repayment of one’s debt for the indebted. Whoever sets out alone upon the road to the Hajj and sees people bidding him farewell shall die.
