Building Up

Sayyid Sulayman: Whoever sees himself carrying out repairs in one of the Sacred Mosque, the Prophet’s Mosque, or the Holy House, it signifies that he will perform a good deed which will be accepted in the sight of Allah.

His worth and rank will increase. He will strive to act more carefully in the affairs he undertakes in the life of this world. Whoever repairs a mosque or masjid for the sake of Allah’s pleasure will become one of the God-fearing.

To see a place such as a masjid, minaret, or dervish lodge flourishing and well-maintained is a sign of becoming firmly established upon the path of religion. According to one narration, it signifies that the ruler at the head of that region will attain relief.

Ja‘far al-Sadiq has said: This dream is interpreted in four ways. They are: ease and goodness in worldly affairs, goodness and benefit, attaining one’s desire, and abundance in trade and earnings.

Whoever sees in a dream that he is building an arch will acquire a servant. Whoever strives to develop a place that does not require repair, it signifies that he will impose upon himself something burdensome to his soul.

Kirmani says: Whoever develops a soup kitchen or a similar charitable institution, if he seeks the Hereafter, will perform righteous deeds. If he has a worldly desire, he will attain comfort.

Whoever develops a house or another place in which one may dwell will enter into relations with a woman by either a lawful or an unlawful means. Whoever sees his deceased father repairing and raising something will adopt the character of his deceased father. If his father is alive, the dream pertains to him.

Whoever sees workers laboring in his house or in the neighborhood where he is residing will have a hostility arise between himself and his relatives, or he will part ways with his friend.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.
