The Sun completes its journey through the zodiac in a year and stays in each sign for about 30 days — this forms the basis of what we call the Solar Return around your birthday when the Sun returns to your natal sign. The Transit Sun indicates which life area is “illuminated” that month, showing where your energy and attention are directed.
Basic Theme of the Transit Sun
The Sun is the planet of identity, vitality, and self-expression; the house it transits is the area where the “stage light” shines on you this month. Its effects are shorter in duration compared to slower planets but clear and noticeable — it generally indicates the energy, motivation, and “how you stand out” for that month.

Notable Transit Sun Aspects
The conjunction of the Transit Sun with your natal Sun is your birthday — the beginning of a new personal year cycle. Periods when the Transit Sun squares/opposes your natal Saturn often bring a test of responsibility or self-confidence that month; periods when it trines/sextiles your natal Jupiter, however, open windows of short-term optimism and opportunity.
